Weekly Update - February 16, 2026

This week marks a significant milestone with Cohort Phase 2 features, including direct cohort URL access, the ability to start an assessment on one device and switch to another (with single-instance session enforcement and persistent timer), and improved exit detection. We also completed a major documentation refresh across 159 files and enhanced our blog infrastructure with video support.

Founding Partner Program Development

Ongoing conversations with organizations exploring the Founding Partner Program continue to shape our roadmap. This week's discussions focused on unique business considerations, session management for multi-device scenarios, and improved exit detection. All are critical to complete organizational deployments.

Technical Improvements

Direct Cohort URL Access

Added /cohort/:cohortId route for organizational assessments. Participants can now access their cohort's assessment directly via a dedicated URL (e.g., paice.work/cohort/abc123), eliminating the need for manual token entry while maintaining our privacy-first architecture.

Single-Instance Session Enforcement

Implemented single-instance enforcement preventing users from having multiple active assessment sessions across browsers or devices. This ensures assessment integrity and prevents accidental session conflicts. The simplified header UI provides clear session status feedback.

Improved Exit Detection

Enhanced exit trigger detection to match phrases anywhere in user messages, not just at the start. This improvement catches more natural language exit patterns and reduces incomplete assessments from users who communicate their intent to stop in different ways.

On-Demand Timer Synchronization

Changed timer sync from every 30 seconds to on-demand synchronization. This reduces server load while maintaining accurate session timing. The timer now syncs at key moments (session start, page reload, critical transitions) rather than constantly polling.

Documentation Consolidation

Completed comprehensive documentation refresh:

  • Added standardized YAML frontmatter to all 159 markdown files
  • Comprehensive documentation cleanup and reorganization
  • Security alignment across all documentation

Blog Infrastructure Enhancements

Enhanced blog system with video support:

  • Added videoUrl and videoDuration fields to blog manifest
  • Corrected videoDuration YAML parsing in sync calendar
  • Draft posts now excluded from manifest.json and direct access

Platform Stability

Platform maintained 100% uptime with no incidents. All systems operating normally: assessment delivery, results generation with snapshot capability, cohort management, email notifications, and analytics processing.

The Week in Numbers

  • 5 blog posts published (1 video + 4 industry guides)
  • 159 documentation files updated with standardized frontmatter
  • Admin dashboard authentication implemented
  • Single-instance session enforcement deployed
  • 100% uptime, zero incidents

Why This Week Matters

Cohort Phase 2 transforms the organizational assessment experience with direct URL access, admin dashboard authentication, and session integrity enforcement. For Founding Partners, these improvements address friction points while maintaining assessment validity—critical for achieving high completion rates in regulated industries.
