Weekly Update - April 6, 2026: Conference win, whitepaper release, Spanish beta, and Q1 in review

PAICE won the ISPI 2026 Shark Tank competition in Nashville this week, with all judges reporting they are "in" on PAICE, and our Closing the Collaboration Gap whitepaper was released as part of the pitch. Meanwhile, Spanish language functionality was released (in beta), our usual five daily posts shipped, and 10 projects are now organized under PAICE.work PBC. It's also the first full week of Q2, so this update includes a Q1 retrospective.

ISPI 2026 Conference

PAICE presented at the International Society for Performance Improvement 2026 Conference in Nashville, Tennessee this week with two major outcomes. First, the Closing the Collaboration Gap whitepaper — our third, and the behavioral science foundation behind PAICE's five-dimension model — published on March 31. Second, PAICE won the conference's Shark Tank competition with all judges voting in favor. This is external validation from the performance improvement community that behavioral measurement of People+AI collaboration is the right approach at the right time. Ten Projects, One Mission

Tomorrow's post, "Filling The Missing Trust Layer", announces the formal consolidation of 10 projects under PAICE.work PBC. The thread connecting them: building the structural conditions that make People+AI collaboration trustworthy, not just capable.

Our portfolio now includes three revenue-generating products — PAICE.work (core, behavioral assessment), EveryAILaw.com (AI regulation tracking), and Siteline.to (agent discoverability scoring) — plus seven open-source infrastructure projects: Graceful Boundaries (service limit communication), Skill Provenance (agent skill versioning), Knowledge-as-Code Template (machine-traversable domain knowledge), Turnfile (peer multi-agent coordination via the SNAP protocol), Skill A11y Audit (accessibility quality gate for AI-generated code), AI Tool Watch (AI capability tracking), and a tenth project still in stealth for now.

While these weren't originally conceived as a portfolio, each was built because the existing ecosystem couldn't provide what PAICE needed fast enough. The consolidation announcement frames the strategic case: the AI trust layer doesn't exist yet, and PAICE.work PBC is building it from measurement to infrastructure.

Technical Improvements

Spanish Language Assessment Merged

PR #22 merged the Spanish language branch, bringing the full assessment experience to Spanish speakers. The implementation includes translated UI strings for the assessment chat, results page chrome, and confirmation modals, backend locale files with Spanish-specific detection patterns, manipulation data, and scoring prompts, language tracking in PostHog analytics events, and a UI fix to clear cached conversations when switching languages so the welcome message appears in the selected language. Both Spanish and Urdu are marked as Beta in the language dropdown. A full announcement post with the story behind tackling Urdu first is drafted and scheduled, and French and Portuguese are already underway and coming soon.

Platform Stability

Platform maintained 100% uptime with no incidents. All systems operating normally: standard and Confidential Mode assessments, results generation with on-chain attestation, cohort management, email notifications, and analytics processing.

Q1 2026 in Review

Why This Week Matters

External validation matters more than internal conviction. The ISPI Shark Tank win, from a room of performance improvement professionals who evaluate measurement frameworks for a living, confirms that PAICE's behavioral approach resonates beyond the AI governance echo chamber. The whitepaper gives that audience a rigorous foundation to evaluate PAICE against the HPT frameworks they already trust. The consolidation announcement tomorrow makes the strategic case explicit: PAICE isn't just an assessment tool. It's the anchor of a portfolio that spans behavioral measurement, regulatory tracking, agent infrastructure, and open standards — all serving the same mission of making People+AI collaboration structurally trustworthy. Meanwhile, the Spanish merge is the first concrete step toward making the assessment accessible to the 580 million Spanish speakers worldwide, starting with the Western Hemisphere markets where PAICE's regulated-industry positioning is strongest. Q1 ended with Pro launched, three whitepapers published, and multilingual infrastructure in place. Q2 starts with conference momentum, a consolidation thesis, and a clear content pipeline through June.
